Brace yourselves, battle-brothers — the Sons of Fenris are howling once more, and this time they’re bringing a blizzard of fangs, fury, and fresh new minis. Whether you're a diehard Space Wolves collector or just a sucker for Norse-inspired, wolf-worshipping super soldiers, 2025 is shaping up to be the Year of the Fang.

Models of armored warriors and wolves on snowy terrain, with a "Space Wolves" box set and game cards in the foreground. Rugged, icy setting.

Games Workshop dropped the bomb at AdeptiCon 2025, and it landed like a Fenrisian thunderwolf in heat. The Space Wolves are getting a glorious refresh, complete with stunning new sculpts, howling reinforcements, and lore-rich rules to sink your frost-covered teeth into.

New Minis, Same Old Bite

The new wave of models perfectly captures everything we love about the Space Wolves — they're wild, they're proud, and they’re definitely not following the Codex Astartes (sorry, Guilliman).

Here’s the run-down of the pack:

  • Blood Claws – Young, angry, and looking for a fight. The new sculpts scream “reckless teenage Viking with a chainsword.” Dynamic poses, wolf teeth necklaces, and fur-trimmed armor make these guys a painter’s dream.

Two armored figures in blue and yellow stand poised for battle, holding weapons. They have dynamic stances with a textured base below.

Futuristic armored figures in blue and orange wielding weapons on decorated stands. Snow and grass detail base. Energetic poses.

Two armored miniature figures in blue and yellow wield chainsaw and gun on snowy bases. Dynamic action poses with intense expressions.

Two blue-armored soldiers with yellow details hold weapons, standing on brown bases with grass and rocks, in an action pose, focused.

Futuristic warriors in blue and yellow armor, one with a sword and the other with a claw weapon, stand on snowy bases, mid-action.

  • Grey Hunters – Older, wiser, and slightly less likely to get eaten by a Fenrisian wolf. These are your bread-and-butter line troops, armed with bolt carbines and a brooding sense of honor.

Two Space Marine figures in blue armor with red and yellow accents wield chainswords and pistols on a snowy, rocky base.

Two armored figures in blue and yellow stand ready. One holds a gun; the other wields an axe. Detailed suits with fur details. Energetic scene.

Armored warriors stand on rocky terrain, wearing blue suits with red and yellow details, holding ornate weapons. Intense, ready stance.

Two armored figures in blue suits holding weapons, with helmets on shoulders. Yellow and red details, standing on small grassy bases.

Two blue armored figures with weapons, one aiming a gun and the other holding a sword. They stand on detailed bases with grass and snow.

  • Wolf Guard Headtakers – These guys are beefy. Decked in Terminator armor and flanked by loyal Fenrisian wolves, they’re the ultimate flex on the battlefield. Basically: Odin called, he wants his champions back.

Armored warrior with axe and shield stands on snowy base, alongside a growling gray wolf. Blue armor, detailed patterns, intense mood.

A warrior in blue armor with fur details wields an axe and shield. Beside him, a wolf leaps. Snowy, rocky bases. Warhammer logo.

Armored figure in blue wielding an axe and shield, stands next to a snarling wolf on snowy terrain. Both appear fierce and ready.

Armored figure in blue with fur cloak, wielding an ax and sword. Detailed armor has symbols. Stands on terrain with snow and grass. Mood is fierce.

  • Wolf Guard Battle Leader – A new centerpiece mini with options to kit him out your way. One look at this guy and you know he's the type to throw back mjød while decapitating a Tyranid.

Armored figures in blue with fur cloaks hold weapons and shields, set on a grassy base. Text: "Warhammer Community" and "Adepticon 2025."

  • Wolf Priest – Equal parts healer, preacher, and space-barbarian shaman. He’s got a skull-helmet, a crozius, and the authority of someone who tells bedtime stories that end in bloodshed.

A detailed Warhammer figure in a fur cloak holds a staff and weapon. Colors: red, brown, silver. "Revealed at the Preview" text visible.

Space Wolves Codex Supplement: Saga-Worthy Stuff

Alongside the models comes a brand-new Codex Supplement: Space Wolves, packed with updated rules, wargear options, and enough lore to keep you growling in delight. Expect hero-focused rules, beast synergy, and plenty of saga-spinning flavor that reminds you this isn’t your average Astartes chapter.

Whether you’re running them as a standalone force or adding a touch of the wild to your Imperium soup, this book’s got the fangs to back it up.

Hobby Gold: Fur, Frost, and Freehand

Let’s talk paint. These new models are a hobbyist’s playground — pelts, runes, braided hair, and bone charms galore. That’s before you even start thinking about snow basing or weathering for that classic Fenrisian tundra feel.

As a commission painter myself, I can say these kits are pure inspiration. The Wolf Guard are begging for OSL on their power fists, the Blood Claws are practically howling for a dynamic diorama, and that Wolf Priest? Easily a center-stage display piece with the right touch of frost.

If you’re looking to make a statement on the tabletop or want a showpiece for your shelf — now’s the time to go full saga-mode.

Final Thoughts: Join the Hunt

The Space Wolves aren’t just Space Marines with wolf pelts — they’re a living myth. They drink deep from the cup of death, carve glory with blade and claw, and fight not for duty, but for honor, for saga, for Russ.

This release brings them howling back into the spotlight, and I’m here for it. Whether you're a player, collector, or painter — or all three — the call of the wild has never been louder.

Painted By Nurgle is ready to take on these new wolves for anyone who wants a display-ready army with enough character to make a Blood Angel blush. So if you're thinking about commissioning a squad (or a whole Great Company), get in touch — the Fang calls.
